A few testimonials from Service Users, Parents and Carers

I enjoy visiting Jackie's Centre, It gives me the chance to socialise with my friends and play pool, listen to music and have fun. The Centre provides support and advice.

The Centre organises trips which I love going on.

Before the Centre opened I would spend my days walking the streets and drinking in pubs.

The Centre has provided me with a safe environment where I feel comfortable

The Volunteers at the Centre are the most passionate and inspirational people I have had the pleasure of meeting.

Their enthusiam is contagious.

At Jackie's Drop-In Centre I like playing the computer, playing pool, watching DVD's and TV.

When I feel upset I can always talk to the staff at Centre.

The Centre is a good place, I come most days its open I enjoy being here it is friendly.

All the staff work hard to look after us.

I like the Centre because it gives me something to do to fill my time.

I come once a week due to my busy schedule but would like to come more often.

The Centre provides a safe and warm place to be.

If I have any problems I know I can always speak to any members of staff.

The Centre provides a variety of different activities and trips.

The Centre is a good place for everybody.

I visit the Centre everyday, I like using the computers, reading, watching TV and spending time with my friends.

The volunteers help me with different things like booking taxis.

I was helped to get a job at the British Heart Foundation and I loved working there.

The Centre is nice and friendly, I like going on the Trips which have included the Theatre, London Christmas lights and the Seaside.

Most of the people that use the Centre have benefited in so many different ways.

It has had a positive impact on the lives of everyone involved volunteers as well as clients.

It is rare to find volunteers as dedicated who really do care for all of the people that they come into contact with.

The biggest thing that I consider is that all of this comes from the heart and there is no financial gain.

I enjoy coming to the Centre because I can see and catch up with my friends.

I like singing on the Karaoke machine, watching DVDs and dancing.

Sometimes the volunteers take me into town and help me to choose clothes.

I really like the Centre as all the volunteers are nice people and helpful.

I'm a volunteer at a special place called "Jackie's Drop-In Centre" I got involved about 3 years ago and love every day, seeing the enjoyment on the faces of every member that walks through our doors. As a parent of a speciaI needs son I know how hard it is to find somewhere safe for these vulnerable adults to go, so they are kept safe, warm and happy.

At Jackie's we have different rooms with activities going on all day Monday-Friday.

I dont know of anywhere else that offers a service like this in Hertfordshire or Bedfordshire.

I love coming to Jackie's House.

My daughter who has special needs attends the Centre where she gets to meet and socialise with other people.

There benefits of the Centre is that you know they are well looked after by the staff (who are all volunteers).
